About Purupuru Maker

Purupuru Maker is a small, independent browser tool for making a selected part of an image wobble or jiggle.

Independent and unofficial

This is an unofficial, independently developed project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the original Purupuru Maker creators or any similarly named service. Names and marks belonging to other parties remain the property of their respective owners.

How it works

You load an image, paint a mask over the region you want to animate, pick a motion preset, and export a looping file. The brush marks the area that moves; everything you leave unpainted stays exactly as it was in the source. An adjustable edge feather blends the boundary so the moving region does not tear away from the static part of the picture.

Eight motion presets cover different material behaviour: Soft for faces and delicate detail, Jelly for elastic compression, Bounce for obvious vertical movement, Pulse for a breathing scale from the mask centre, Shake for fast horizontal emphasis, Sway for hair and fabric, Float for slow drift, and Wave for a ripple that travels across the painted area. Strength, speed, and loop length are adjustable, and the seamless loop option matches the first and last frames so the animation repeats without a visible jump.

Finished animations export as GIF or WebM in current browsers, and as MP4 when the browser provides an MP4 encoder. Everything runs on your own device, so there is no account, no upload step, and no queue.

Your images never leave your device

Image processing happens entirely in your browser. The source file, the mask you paint, the live preview, and the exported animation are all produced locally. This site does not upload, store, publish, or review the images you work with, and it has no server-side image pipeline that could receive them.

This also means the work is private by default rather than by promise: there is no copy of your file on any server to be retained, leaked, or requested. The practical trade-off is that performance depends on your own hardware, so very large images and long GIF exports are slower on low-memory phones and older machines. The Privacy policy explains what limited data the site itself collects.

What it is good for

The effect works best when a soft, irregular shape moves against something stable. Hair strands, scarves, fabric, fluffy fur, cheeks, and soft foods all read well because viewers already expect them to flex. Rigid objects, printed text, faces, and straight structural lines are better left unpainted, since they give the eye a fixed reference that makes the motion look deliberate instead of like a glitch.

Worked examples with the original source image, the exported result, and the exact settings used are available for anime illustration, pet photos, reaction GIFs, and product photography. The step-by-step guide covers the full workflow from mask to export.

Cost and availability

The tool is free to use and requires no sign-up. It is available in English, Japanese, Traditional Chinese, and Korean. It runs in recent desktop and mobile browsers; the MP4 option appears only where the browser supplies its own encoder, and GIF or WebM remain available otherwise.

Use responsibly

Only edit and share images you have the right to use. Please do not use the tool to harass, deceive, exploit, or target private people without consent. Read the Terms of use for the complete rules.
